About Us
     Svetlana Boukhny concentrates her practice in Immigration and Naturalization Law and related matters, serving corporate as well as individual clients. Ms. Boukhny advises human resources administrators and in-house counsel on immigration matters dealing with the employment of foreign nationals in the United States. She assists multinational corporations with the transfer and hiring of foreign nationals for their U.S. operations on both temporary and permanent basis. She also counsels individual clients including, but not limited to, professionals, university faculty and research staff and persons of extraordinary ability in the arts and science, in all areas of employment-based and family-based immigration.
     Ms. Boukhny, who emigrated from the former Soviet Union in 1980 and speaks fluent Russian, graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington in 1991 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism, Comparative Literature and Slavic Languages and Literatures. In 1996 she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Pace University School of Law, where she also served on the Honor Board. Ms. Boukhny has worked in the corporate (immigration) department of Barnes & Thornburg (Indianapolis, Indiana) and in the business immigration law firm of Littler Mendelson Bacon & Dear, PLLC (Phoenix, Arizona) prior to becoming a solo practitioner.
     Ms. Boukhny is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and several state and local bar associations. She is admitted to practice law in several jurisdictions, including California, Arizona, Indiana and Ohio and in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
